PHOEBE FEARING

With nearly a decade of accounting experience and more than twenty years in business operations--including seven years of direct mail marketing, one year with a business brokerage firm, and five years in property management (both commercial and retail)--Phoebe combines technical precision with real-world insight to help clients stay on track, compliant, and confident in their finances.

​

Phoebe began her accounting career with a Bay Area CPA firm before joining a financial services firm for five years (where she was awarded “The GOAT”--twice for closing her books ahead of the rest of her team and once for promoting team rapport during COVID). She later worked with Intuit as a Senior Bookkeeping Associate, QBLE and QuickBooks Online (QBO) ProAdvisor, earning multiple Intuit certifications and gaining broad experience supporting diverse small businesses nationwide.

Most recently, Phoebe served as the controller for a Portland-based commercial real estate brokerage firm with a strong presence in Washington State, overseeing accounting operations for three partners, nine brokers, and two employees. She built the workflow that unified operations — managing a high volume of transactions and complex cash flow with accuracy and efficiency. She was recognized for learning the very demanding role largely on her own, with the support of one partner, and for developing a comprehensive controller manual to ensure continuity for the firm moving forward.**

 

As Principal Accounting Specialist at East Coast West Coast Accounting (ECWCA), Phoebe provides **strategic, high-quality accounting support and insight for her clients. She enjoys helping businesses stay organized, meet deadlines, and prepare for tax season--and she's known for promoting teamwork and a positive client experience.

 

Her client roster includes **a range of industries--  professional service providers (architects, lawyers, doctors, designers), mid-sized businesses (restaurants, salon, retail), and startups in AI, tech, and software.** She’s also supported  niche operations such as a wine storage business.  There's no industry she won't navigate, but she finds her happy place managing accounting departments.

 

In a 2023 meeting with her former firm partners, Phoebe was recognized for her strong work ethic and the lasting stability she brings to every engagement.  She’s committed to helping clients succeed and ensuring they receive the dedicated service they deserve.

For fun, Phoebe spends time with her husband, their mini-poodle, Frances, and family. They enjoy nature, cooking, staying fit, and generally making the most of life.  Frances often supervises from her sofa.

• Bachelor's Degree

• Certified QBO ProAdvisor

• Intuit Trained Bookkeeper

• Intuit Tax Level 1 100%

• Intuit Tax Level 2 60% (in progress)

• Additional Certifications Underway

• 9 years of accounting experience

• 20+ years of business operations experience

• Previously held RE license
